Song Association

After a fun weekend of fun and, erm, more fun I now find myself on a Monday afternoon struggling to get through even routine daily tasks, so my levels of inspiration are running pretty low. Therefore I have decided to fall back onto something I thought about a while ago rather than bothering to think up a new topic for today.

Since this is an old topic for me I have had opportunities to discuss this with others and have come to the conclusion that it is not just me that experiences this phenomenon.

I also remember finding a word that describes this occurance, or at least I remember looking. Anyway I am
talking about certain words, phrases or actions that trigger a line from a song to fly into your head and then faithfully stay there for the rest of the day.

For example, whenever I right-click on the task bar on the computer I see the option to 'Lock the Taskbar' and immediately 'Rock the Casbah' pops into my head.




Throughout my daily life I have loads of these that come from nowhere and I know you do too. I hope that every time you click on that taskbar from now on, a little bit of The Clash will stay with you.
