Friday Feelings

Some typical Friday morning office smalltalk:

Colleague 1:  Morning, how are you?
Colleague 2:  It's Friday!
Colleague 1:  Yeah!  It'll be Monday soon though.
Colleague 2:  Yep, rubbish.

How ridiculous has office society become where we have almost scripted conversations every morning.  Why bother?

Recognise this one?

Colleague 1:  Morning, how's things?
Colleague 2:  Ah it's Wednesday.
Colleague 1:  Well, at least it's not Tuesday.
Colleague 2:  Wish it was Friday.
Colleague 1:  Yeah.
Colleague 2:  Yeah.

I hear a variation on this every day of every week.  The only time we get a break from day of week chat is when we get unusual weather, and for those not in Britain, unusual weather to us is when we have the same weather for more than 2 days in a row.

My other Friday question is; why do we think that our body doesn't absorb fat on Fridays in the same way as it does on other days?  Why do people believe that it is ok to have a bacon sandwich on Fridays when it wasn't Monday to Thursday?

Ah well, at least it's Friday.
