I have decided that I will, for the first time ever, watch an entire season of Formula 1. To be honest I always thought that the idea of watching cars go road a track 85 times was a waste of a perfectly good Sunday afternoon, but then I caught the dramatic ending to last year’s season and actually quite enjoyed what I saw. I think what I have missed all these years is that it’s not so much about watch the race, but getting involved with all the tactics and engineering involved that appeals to people.
So with that in mind I am going to watch an entire season and see if I enjoy it, so far I have managed to watch a qualifier for the first race and fully intend to watch tomorrow’s actual race, so I’m on the right track, so to speak. I have to admit I was a bit disappointed this morning to find that it was only a qualifier, I thought I was watching a race and then at the end they announced starting positions, so I thought that the race was about the start, and then they did a press conference and some interviews and then said tune in tomorrow for the race.
I guess I have a lot to learn about this crazy world.

I even heard there was a Fantasy Formula 1 out there somewhere, I’d better look that up before the season gets going properly. Hopefully more updates on this fascinating subject to come!
